Civ 5. Panzer “Shafernator” General

I’m trying to get the achievement:

Panzer “Shafernator” General. Spawn over 100 Great Generals, build an army of over 100 standing units, and beat the game 100 times.

I’m not sure how many times I’ve won the game, but I’m working to have 100 standing units, my plan is to build 100 cities and the each one will have a unit, then I’m sure I will have 1/3 of the achievement complete.

So far my game is doing good, year 1500 and I discovered Biology, I think this is the first game I get Industrialization so quick:

 

 

 

 

 

Update:

I made 80 cities, more than 200 units and a lot of roads but no achievement yet. I guess now I need to win the game 100 times.

Civ 5. By the Waters of Babylon (115/140)

115. By the Waters of Babylon. Beat the game on any difficultly setting as Nebuchadnezzar II.

Babylonian Nebuchadnezzar II is a great leader if you like to play focus in science. Free scientist when you discover writing and double birth rate for scientist makes this one top of my list to play.

The rest of achievements are basically playing a lot of games, I’m not sure if you can post daily anymore trying to get the rest of the list:

Model of a Modern Major-General. Train all Units, across any number of playthroughs.

Land Baron. Purchase 1000 tiles, across any number of playthroughs.

The Appian Way. Build 1000 roads, across any number of playthroughs.

Forty-Niner. Build 1000 mines, across any number of playthroughs.

Paul Bunyan. Chop down 1000 forest tiles, across any number of playthroughs.

God Is Great. Construct 1000 Temples, across any number of playthroughs.

Tomb Raider. Pillage gold from an Egyptian city with a burial tomb in it.  [Not sure how to get this one]

Ruler of the Seas. As Elizabeth, sink and destroy 357 enemy naval units, across any number of playthroughs.

Great KhanBeat the Mongol scenario on the King or harder difficulty level.

Supreme KhanBeat the Mongol scenario on the Emperor or harder difficulty level.

Genghis KhanBeat the Mongol scenario on the Deity difficulty level.

Civ 5. Tout le Monde Francophone? (114/140)

114. Tout le Monde Francophone? Win the New World Scenario as France.

I completed the Conquest of the New World scenario.

I’m still wondering how to get the “Tomb Raider” as I have tried playing vs Egypt multiple times and I’m not sure what I’m missing. As with the Mongol scenario I will read about it to see if I can find a clue. If you know how to get it please share with me 🙂

Civ 5 – Khan (113/140)

113. Khan. Beat the Mongol scenario on any difficulty.

Mongol scenario is more difficult than I thought, even harder than the New World scenario.

To prepare for it I read how Gengis Khan conquered the world  (1200 AC) and tried to follow his steps:

I completed the scenario in 80 turns.

Civ 5 – Raleigh’s Road to Riches (112 / 140)

112. Raleigh’s Road to RichesDiscover El Dorado

 

To get this achievement you need to play the New World Scenario, playing as a native american (Aztec, Iroquois, Inca) is easy to explore, if you play an European nation it may take longer to explore the map and you may run out of turns.

In my game I was lucky to find it after exploring all America I went in my way to Europe and in a big island was there.

111. League of Extraordinary Hoyanehs. Win the New World Scenario as the Iroquois.

Civ V – Siglo de Oro (110/140)

110. Siglo de Oro. Win the New World Scenario as Spain.

To fast win the scenario, found a city close to the capital of the first american civilization you found, then buy 2 or 3 conquistadors and take it. Make peace after taking it and look for the next capital.

 

109. Nobody Expects the Spanish Inquisition. Beat the game on any difficultly setting as Isabella.

 

Civ 5 – Dr. Heidegger’s Experiment (108/140)

108. Dr. Heidegger’s Experiment. Find the Fountain of Youth

This is an achievement you get while exploring America running the New World Scenario.

107. Au in the EU. Return a Treasure to Europe.

– Playing  New World Scenario as an European nation (Spain, France, England), after taking the capital of a native American civilization (Aztec, Inca, Iroquois) you get 3 treasury units that you can embark and send back to your capital.
106. Tea and Crumpets for Everyone. Win the New World Scenario as England.
